Our focus for this project was to create a solution to help improve the daily lives of the aging population.
15-20% of people over the age of 65 experience some sort of depression.
44% of people over the age of 60 suffer from insomnia.
General hospitals say 29% to 61% of elderly patients are malnourished.
Mission Statement
By bringing accessible hydroponic growth into the home, we address the needs of the elderly, enabling clean effortless gardening, sparking a purposeful habit, and increasing awareness of nutrition.
Why Hydroponics?
Using hydroponics, plants can be grown year-round in the home with little labors.
Plants grow 3-50% faster with greater yields, and require 2/3 less water.
